Course description:

This is a comprehensive survey of the important techniques for securing access to network resources. Starting with passwords and authentication schemes, such as, Kerberos the course goes on to look at encryption of both files and communications. PGP and VPN communications are implemented. Firewalls and protecting the physical network are discussed. Social Engineering, intrusion detection, logging and other security issues are also covered.
