Course description:

Email fundamentals SMTP, POP3, IMAP and the RFCs (including mime) are introduced.

Students will to implement and configure servers using Sendmail and/or MS Exchange.

Spam filters are discussed and implemented. Popular email clients are examined.(Thunderbird, Eudora, Lotus, Groupwise etc).
