Course description:

Methodology:

Using Simply Accounting Software version 9.0, the students are introduced to a wide variety of introductory and intermediate features of the program. Accounts payable and receivables, inventories, cash transactions, daily and monthly procedures.

Instructor led course with course textbook and computer software.

Learner outcome:

·         Create Chart of Accounts

·         Run Simply Accounting software

·         Explain components of the software

·         Create a variety of records

·         Set up and organize a chart of accounts.

·         Run various reports

·         Understand how accounts are used

·         Prepare financial statement from a trial balance.

·         Reconcile bank records

·         Process daily transactions

 

 

Themes: 

Introduction, Purchasing and Accounts Payable; Sales and Accounts Receivable; Inventory and Accounts; Cash and Miscellaneous Transactions; Daily and Monthly procedures.

Evaluation:

Attendance, completion of all exercises, and evaluation based on course completion.
