Course description:

Students will learn the essential features of all operating systems, file managers, task managers, device manager and user management.

 

They will partition and format disks using the popular file systems. They will learn the basic shell commandline commands for DOS, MSH and later BASH shells. They will install a Windows Server system, install devices, and and configure the environment. Basic trouble shooting techniques are presented.

 

Finally basic network topology and terminology are studied and the OSI model revisited.
