Course description:

Starting with the OSI mode, students learn the terminology and basic hardware associated the network physical layer and the modern PC computer.

 

They learn to identify the components on the motherboard, add and replace memory and disks and install peripherals.

 

They study the basics of the ATX power supply. They learn the basic cmos setup and interrupt structure and IRQ assignment.

 

Finally they learn about the boot sequence and to partition and format disk drives.
