Course description:

This course is designed to introduce students to creating professional presentations using MS PowerPoint.

Learner outcome:

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Formatting Slides
• Using Layouts and Design templates
• Formatting Fonts
• Using Transitions and Custom Effects
• Using Images and Clip arts in presentations
• Creating design templates

Expectations:

·         Students are requested to attend class on time and actively participate in class discussions.

·         Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.

·         Late assignments are marked at 50%

·         Cellular phones and pagers must be turned off.

·         Students are expected to read the material in advance of coming to class to facilitate learning.

Evaluation:

Attendance and Participation 10%, Assignments 40%, Final Project 50%

A requirement of 60% in all areas is to be achieved for certificate/diploma
