Course Description:

This course is designed to introduce students to vector based computer graphics using Adobe Illustrator. The participants will learn the techniques to create illustrations and graphics for print and/or electronic media.

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Formats used for digital graphics
  • Draw and reshape objects
  • Editing and modification techniques
  • Using paint brushes and symbols
  • Using Layers
  • Effective usage of types
  • Tracing existing images
  • Applying effects

 

Expectations:

·         Students are requested to attend class on time and actively participate in class discussions.

·         Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.

·         Late assignments are marked at 50%

·         Cellular phones and pagers must be turned off.

·         Students are expected to read the material in advance of coming to class to facilitate learning.
