Course description:

This course is designed to introduce students to digital image editing using Adobe PhotoShop.

Learner outcome:

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Using actions
  • Create and customize brushes
  • Masking techniques
  • Using adjustment layers
  • Applying filters to create special effects

Expectations:

·         Students are requested to attend class on time and actively participate in class discussions.

·         Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.

·         Late assignments are marked at 50%

·         Cellular phones and pagers must be turned off.

·         Students are expected to read the material in advance of coming to class to facilitate learning.

Evaluation:

Attendance/Participation 10%, Assignments 50%, Final Project 40%

A requirement of 60% in all areas is to be achieved for certificate/diploma
