Course description:

Methodology:

Students discover in this course the basic elements of interpreting and / or continue to develop their interpreting skills in a variety of simulated situations.

 

The course relies on materials from media such as newspapers and television and focuses on interviews with artists, activists and business people.

Listening to English and Japanese, reading texts and interpreting into the other language. Teacher-led instruction.

  • Complete an assessment of your interpreting potential
  • Develop discrete skills that will assist you with interpreting tasks;
  • Discover your potential as an interpreter
  • Expand your English and Japanese vocabulary

If this is a core course in your diploma, 70% in overall evaluation is a passing grade. If this is a core course in your certificate, 60% in overall evaluation is a passing grade. If this is an elective course in your program of study, 50% in overall evaluation is a passing grade.

Fluency in English and Japanese. SLEP 70%
