Course description:

Methodology:

This course is designed for intermediate to advanced level students who want to improve their speaking, listening, writing, and critical thinking skills as related to english for business purposes.

The theme and related activities focus on developing the communication skills that every professional needs in today's global business environment. 

The course content is delivered through lectures, combined with student-centred activities such as discussions, brainstorming activities, critical thinking exercises, reading comprehension tasks, and various homework assignments. 

Learner outcome:

Students will be able to:

  • Build successful work teams
  • Resolve conflict
  • Discuss ways of raising money for startups
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Identify crisis management techniques
  • Listen more actively
  • Ask and answer difficult questions

Language work includes: prefixes, modal perfect, financial terms, dependent prepositions, gerunds, noun phrases with/without “of”, similarities and differences
