Course description:

Methodology:

This course is designed for intermediate or advanced level students who want to improve their speaking, listening, writing, and critical thinking skills as related to english for business purposes.

The themes and related activities focus on developing the communication skills that every professional needs to succeed in today's global business environment.

The course content is delivered through lectures, combined with studnet-centred activities such as discussions, brainstorming activities, critical thinking exercises, reading comprehension tasks, and various homework assignments.

 

Learner outcome:

  • Students will be able to:Discuss motivation techniques
  • Identify the factors that lead to personal job satisfaction
  • Manage and reduce risk in business
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of e-commerce
  • Participate in a meeting role play
  • Write an internal business document
  • Language work includes: words to describe motivating factors, passives, words to describe risk, intensifying adverbs, Internet terms, conditionals
