Course description:

Methodology:

In this course students will learn the basics of:

    1. Foundation of Information Systems; managing systems  in an organization; electronic commerce;

    2. IT infrastructure in business organizations; telecommunication and networks;

    3. Security and quality control;

    4. Decision making in digital age;

    5. Information Systems analysis and design.

Instructor led course with course textbook, hadouts and computer software.

This course is a combination of case studies of MIS and hands-on laboratory activites requiring good attendance, and independent and group work/study.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Course outcome:

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Communciate business logic in the language of IT professionals
  • Define approach to IS analysis and design and database implementation
  • Manage directories and databases
